My current sculptural series centers on hybrid beings, forms that exist in states of metamorphosis, merging human, animal, and plant into a single, shifting presence. These figures are not fixed identities, but transitional bodies: suspended between growth and decay, stillness and transformation, interiority and emergence. They often appear inwardly focused, as if engaged in a kind of silent meditation, holding a concentrated awareness within unstable or evolving forms.
Drawing from Hungarian shamanic cosmology and the figure of the Táltos, I approach these hybrids as vessels of transformation rather than representations of myth. In this context, the body is understood as permeable, capable of crossing boundaries between species, states of consciousness, and realms of existence.
The sculptures embody this permeability: limbs dissolve into branches, torsos root or sprout, surfaces suggest both skin and bark, growth and erosion occurring simultaneously. The sculptures hold a tension between outward mutation and inward focus, proposing metamorphosis not only as a physical condition, but as a state of consciousness.
Rather than reconstructing inherited traditions, my practice engages them as a living undercurrent. The work becomes a space where ancestral cosmologies, embodied process, and contemporary form intersect, where the hybrid figure emerges as both a personal and universal image of becoming.

Poised between stillness and motion, this elongated, hare-like figure feels as though it has emerged from a quieter realm, one where time stretches and softens. Its flowing, almost melted contours evoke both fur and fabric, as if the body is dissolving into the space around it. The gentle tilt of the head and the alert yet distant gaze suggest a being attuned to something just beyond perception, listening not with ears alone, but with its entire form.
The sculpture carries a sense of tenderness and unease in equal measure. Its seated posture is grounded, yet its features seem to drift, resisting fixed definition. This tension between presence and transformation invites reflection on the liminal—those in-between spaces where identity, memory, and matter are in flux. It becomes less an object and more a quiet witness, holding a moment of transition suspended in form.
